The NSW sporting sector is made up of many diverse organisations with different organisational structures; membership bases and sizes; geographic reach, organisational health maturity and financial health. For many sporting and recreation organisations, COVID-19 is having a direct financial and operational impact on your operations. This resource library brings together good resources from a variety of expert providers and official organisations to help support your sporting organisation.

COVID-19 - Sport and Recreation Sector Update Saturday 2 May 2020

The NSW Government notes that National Cabinet endorsed the Framework for Rebooting Sport in a COVID-19 Environment developed by the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) on Friday 1 May 2020. The NSW Public Health order signed on the 30th of March 2020, remains in force and prohibits exercise in groups of greater than two. The NSW Government is considering these issues alongside other restrictions and will update the community should any changes to the Public Health Orders be made.

E-trading Endorsement for Skate Australia Inc

Any club wishing to provide any form of Online or Outdoor training needs to inform the SkateNSW Office with the details for Sanctioning (same as with regular training). If you are using your Club Portal, you may simply send the link to the Online Event/Training. See attached a letter from Skate Australia confrming the E-trading Endorsement for Skate Australia Inc by Gallaghers.

In collaboration, Sport NSW, Australian College of Physical Education and NSW Office of Sport are pleased to announce the Timeout Talks - #unitedforsports webinar series . With timeout currently called on sport, this webinar series aims to keep our sporting community connected and united so we can return as one.

TAFE NSW Fee-Free Short Courses

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, TAFE NSW in conjunction with the NSW Government, are offering a number of fee-free short courses that offer practical skills and learning across a range of industries. The short courses can be completed in just days or weeks, and with many people working from home or perhaps on reduced hours, this is a great time to upskill yourself or encourage your staff to upskill.

As the State becomes increasingly isolated in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19, many people are working, learning and spending all of their time at home. It is critical that Australians are able to maintain their physical and mental wellbeing at home, and that they are able to exercise in confined spaces with limited resources.

High Performance at Home aims to keep the community active and healthy while working remotely. The freshly launched initiative from the NSW Institute of Sport brings world-class, high performance expertise straight to the home.

Sport NSW COVID-19 Update

The rapidly evolving impacts of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic are continuing to cause unprecedented and uncertain times for all. The suspension, postponement or cancellation of sporting activities, events and training are in place nationally and worldwide, while indoor sporting venues, gyms, public playgrounds and skate parks are all closed.

COVID-19 - Sport and Recreation Sector Update Monday 30 March 2020

On Sunday 29 March 2020, the National Cabinet agreed to limit both indoor and outdoor gatherings to a maximum of two persons only. This limit excludes people in the same household going out together and family units. In addition, National Cabinet's strong guidance to all Australians is to stay home unless people are undertaking the following activities:

NSW Office of Sport - Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

As Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to develop the Office of Sport is working closely with NSW Health and other government agencies to monitor its impact on the NSW sport and recreation sectors and the communities we serve. From Monday, 16 March the government advises against public attendance at all organised nonessential gatherings of 500 people or more.
