SkateNSW Speed Official Angela Mullard passed away on 11/10/2026

Angela had served as SkateNSW Speed Branch Chairperson and Vice President for a number of years, as well as having been an integeral part of the Taren Point Roller Skating Club when it relocated to Menai Indoor Sports Centre.

Like most volunteers, Angela became involved in skating through her kids, Lee and Adam.

Along with her husband John, she was keen to help where she could, first at club level with Taren Point Club, both as a committee member, skater and coach, before moving on to SkateNSW Executive as the SkateNSW Speed Chairperson and Vice President.

But her main passion was as a speed official, achieving Assistant Referee status for NSW.

She attended many National Championships, and was always happy to take on any task asked. She was calm, thoughtful and fair with her officiating and dealing with skaters.

She mentored trainee officials and auxiliaries, and even though her kids stopped skating long ago she continued being involved, as she said it's always for the skaters.

SkateNSW sends its deepest condolences to Angela's family, friends and the NSW skating community.
