CHANGES TO WORLD SKATE INLINE HOCKEY CHAMPIONSHIP SCHEDULE

Published Thu 16 Feb 2023

Skate Australia wishes to advise of a major change to the World Skate Inline Hockey World Championship Schedule.

The Inline Hockey World Championships will now be held every two years alternating with the Continental Championships.

The next World Championship event will be held at the World Skate Championships in 2024, in Italy.

We understand that this is a significant change to past years, and we support World Skate’s decision to align the Championship events with Continental (Oceania) Championships.

Further details about the Oceania Championships will be released in due course.

Skate Australia will work closely with the Inline Hockey Technical Committee to explore opportunities for teams and individuals throughout 2023.

We understand there are opportunities outside of World Skate for individuals to compete internationally and we encourage your participation independently through your clubs/individually.

Skate Australia will continue to work closely with World Skate to grow Inline Hockey in Australia.
