2019 SkateNSW Roller Derby Branch Committee Nominations

SkateNSW Inc would like to invite Roller Derby Members to formally establish a Roller Derby Branch Committee. ASADA have advised that the Level 2 e-learning course is available. All competitors representing Skate Australia in 2019 will need to complete this course. AOC Supports Compulsory School Sport Plan

Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) President John Coates AC says a plan unveiled in Victoria today to increase the amount of competitive sport played in schools is a model that could be adopted nation‐wide. Mr Coates the scheme promoted by the Coalition Opposition in Victoria would reverse the longstanding trend that has seen sport lose its prominence in school curricula.

ILHA - Inline Hockey Officials Pathway, Structure and Course Material

ILHA introduce you to the new inline officials structure, pathway and course. This structure has been designed to give pathways for experienced referees, as well as training new officials to a competency standard, rather than simply how many hours they have tallied up. Also, ILHA have created a facebook page "Australian Inline Zebras", to provide a forum for referees to exchange experiences and information.

The Local Sport Defibrillator Grant Program is now open!

This grant program allocates $4 million over four years to assist sporting clubs across NSW in the purchase and maintenance of Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs). The first eight minutes after a person has a cardiac arrest are the most critical and early access to CPR and defibrillation can increase the likelihood of survival by up to 75 percent. With thousands of spectators and players attending sporting events around the state every week, having AEDs at those venues will save lives.
