The Art of Ageing exhibition at Lower Town Hall, Sydney

Published Tue 18 Oct 2016

We are getting older. By 2031, one in three people will be over 50. One in five will be over 65. But older people aren’t all the same.

Like the rest of the community, they live diverse lives. How they experience ageing, and how they want to age is unique.

The Art of Ageing exhibition is a series of photographs and stories that celebrate the lives of older people living in NSW. It aims to challenge perceptions of ageing.

The photographs are the works of Louise Hawson who has been documenting the lives of older people as part of the renewed NSW Ageing Strategy.
