SkateNSW Artistic is pleased to announce a Strategic Forum and Workshops in order to prepare for 2026 and beyond. Artistic Members and those interested in becoming involved are invite to to participate.

Strategic Forum - Planning for 2026 (and beyond)

The Strategic Forum will commence folllowing the Rising Stars Competition presentations, at approximately 12:00pm (midday), at the Blacktown Leisure Centre, Stanhope.

The forum will be open to all SkateNSW Member Clubs that forster Artistic Roller Skating, as well as Unattached Artistic Members, this includes Club Committee Members, Coaches, Officials, current Volunteers and anyone interested in becoming involved in some capacity.

The forum will be facilitated by SkateNSW Executive Officer, Gawaine Davis along with members of the SkateNSW Artistic Committee. Forum topics may include:

• Who is SkateNSW / SkateNSW Artistic Branch ?
• What are the core purpose, values and resposibilities ?
• Core Functions and Activities - Governance, Leadership, Management, Operations and Sports Development
• Recruitment and Volunteers
• Achievements - Hits and Misses
• Vision for the Future - Goals and wishlists

We invite you to join us over a light lunch / refreshements to help plan 2026 and beyond.

During the Strategic Forum, any Skaters with an attendee at the forum will be permited to practice on the rink for free (all participants must register by the due date).

Workshops - Preparing for 2026

Following the Strategic forum, workshops will be held between 2:00pm - 5:00pm on the Rink.

The workshop will be presented by SkateNSW's own International recognised World Skate Level 3 Coaches, Esther Ambrus and Gawaine Davis, and assisted by SkateNSW Accredited Coaches and Commissioned Officials as required.

The workshops will be open to SkateNSW CAT 1, 2 or 3 members (CAT 4 members can upgrade to CAT 3) and aimed at Rising Stars to Championship level skaters, with a strong emphasis on inclusivity and interclub friendship.

The workshops will cover a range of skills, including:

- Off-skate session for fitness, conditioning and flexibility

- Technical skills relevant to all skating disciplines (Freeskating, Dance, and Figures)

- Artistic Skills and Choreography

Classes may be divided up into Grades/Skills/Ages as required.

A full program of classes will be provide on Friday 19th September 2025.
